Why does a VPN cost more after the first term?
The low monthly price is an intro price for the first term, paid up front. After it the plan renews at the regular yearly price: NordVPN Basic goes from $3.49 to $11.59 a month ($139.08 a year).
Is a monthly VPN plan worth it?
Only for a short trip or a test. Month to month, NordVPN Basic is $14.99 a month, about 4 times its long-plan price. Most VPNs here also refund within 30 days, so a long plan can be tried too.
