Why Prime Video does this
Prime Video licenses titles by country and refuses to stream to addresses it believes belong to VPNs, proxies or datacenters.
On home connections the usual causes are iCloud Private Relay, a router or antivirus that routes traffic, or a recycled address.
How to fix it
- Turn off any VPN, proxy, iCloud Private Relay or Edge Secure Network, then restart the Prime Video app.
- Restart your router for a new address and check this page again.
- If the error stays on a plain home connection, contact Amazon with the address shown above.
Fixed something? Reload this page: the checks above update with your new connection.
Why does Prime Video think I'm using a VPN?
Amazon judges your address. If it's on a list of VPN, proxy or datacenter addresses, Prime Video refuses to play.
Does it happen on all devices?
Only on devices that use the flagged address. A phone on mobile data has a different address than your Wi-Fi, which is a quick way to test.
